We really enjoyed our weekend with this trailer. It has a great layout and the bathroom having a separate door to outside keeps floors clean. Everything was in great shape and clean. Wade was great walking us through all the details on setting up and how to work everything. Everyone loved the fireplace and indoor/outdoor LED lighting. Towing this behind my F150 was easy.

My wife and I had a blast on a little road trip trough the Eastern Sierra's in Wade's "Beastie" promaster. Everything went smooth and the setup worked great for us! We didn't really think we'd need such a large water tank and the kitchen sink, but we ended up using it a lot and found it useful. Everything was as described and pictured in the listing. We'd definitely rent from Wade again.

We LOVED our van. It was the trial push we needed to start our own endeavor of converting a van of our own. Wade is super responsive and helpful, the van was clean and all set for us. We spent a few nights up the central coast, working during the days overlooking the ocean. Such a great way to get out of town, thank you!

We had an amazing experience working with Wade and Sunstorm! He makes himself available any time you need him and is always there to answer and questions or help with any issues that come up. He is super honest and transparent and his vans are in tip top shape. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will for sure be taking many more trips with Sunstorm in the future!

My husband, our 55-lb dog, and I just returned from an amazing 2-week trip with 50 cent (went up the 395 with stops at Sabrina Lake, Mammoth Lakes, day trip to Yosemite, Tahoe then back down the coast with stops at Pismo and Santa Barbara). While we've rented campervans (JUCY for a SW trip, CampEasy in Iceland), this was our first time renting a campervan of this size. My husband did all of the driving but he said it was pretty easy to drive and maneuver. It was just the right size to still fit into regular parking spots. The interior space is very well thought-out. Love being able to stand up! Incredible amount of storage space. (tip: we packed our clothes in packing cubes and kept those under the seat/bench and stored our backpacks in the main storage area which was a big space and time saver and kept our things organized). It comes with basic cooking supplies - we brought some of our own since we were mainly going to be doing our own cooking at the campgrounds. The fridge is quite spacious. The bed and pillows are very comfy - temps dipped into the low 40's so we did use our sleeping bags for extra warmth. There is bluetooth capability, so easy to play your own music/podcasts/etc. There is an abundance of USB chargers to charge all your gadgets and some regular outlets as well. The solar panels are amazing - we were never less than 89% on the battery charge. For our dog, there was a little latch (probably for cargo?) behind the driver's seat and we were able to hook her harness up to this using her seat belt clip to keep her on a short leash and from sliding around on the winding roads. There are also covers that you can put on the windows at night to offer complete privacy even if you have all the lights on in the van. FYI the floor can get VERY hot when directly exposed to the sun (such as when we were hanging out at the campground with the door open) so we either laid out towels on the floor or hung a sheet on the doorway for some shade but to still allow a breeze. The booking process was very easy. Loved all the add-ons that were offered. It was extremely clean, everything functioned well (except for the fan in the ceiling that didn't work which Wade informed us of at the start of the trip and the substitute fans worked great). The pick-up and drop-off process were also very straight-forward. Wade is very friendly and responsive via phone/text.The van gets about 18-20 mpg and a full tank cost about $75. The fresh water tank being 28 gallons is a LOT of water - we probably used one full tank for the entirety of our trip including washing dishes and spraying ourselves and our dog off after the beach/hiking/etc.Would 100% rent from SunStorm Vans again and recommend to friends!

Everything about the rental was awesome! Pick up and drop off were super quick and easy. The vans are built really well! There wasn't anything we disliked about it. We are considering building a van and this was our first time taking one out for a weekend and we loved everything about it. We appreciate that Wade doesn't plaster his branding all over the vehicle! We were able to fit 2 full suspension mountain bikes in the garage area along with a good amount of our other supplies. The van felt very roomy even for a 136" The bed was very comfortable, I'm 6'1 and had no troubles sleeping in it at all, got 3 great nights of sleep actually. We will 100% be renting a van from Sunstorm again for our next mountain biking/camping adventure

“50 Cent”, me and my two small dogs just completed a round trip from Encinitas, CA to Seneca Falls, NY and back to Encinitas so I rented the van for about a month. I chose “50 Cent” because I wanted a) a van because it would be easier for me manage on my own b) gets better gas mileage and c) I didn’t need a lot, i.e., full shower or kitchen. I also chose to go with Sunstorm vans because the vans were only 2 years old, had low mileage and I thought the day rate and mileage was much more reasonable than a lot of the other companies/RVs that I looked at - especially when you start to factor in cost of gas and the overall mileage I was going to need for my trip. My average gas mileage was around 18.3 miles/gallon - mostly highways and a lot of going up/down mountains in the western states. The van has tons of storage and is well designed such as having light switches where you want them and lots of USB ports for all of your devices. The bed was surprisingly comfortable the van has a good level of insulation so it cut down on campground noise. I spent a lot of time in the driver’s seat which sits really high and has great visibility. I’m ‘short’ so my challenge with the seat was stretching to reach the gas pedal without being on top of the steering wheel - platform Teva sandals solved that issue.Wade, owner of Sunstorm vans, was super easy to work with - very communicative, had great tips and was very thorough in showing me the ins/outs of the van. He also has a YouTube video which you can go back to if you have questions. He checked in to see how things were going and always got back to me quickly when I had questions.I don’t really have any cons - I would say my main challenge was driving through UT, AZ, WY in the middle of summer when the temp was 100+ for most of the day is intense so plan your driving times accordingly (i.e., when are you driving into the sun, can you find shade to park in during the day). The van also does not have a toilet but you can buy a camp toilet (talk to Wade) and the van had easy storage/access for the toilet; I was really glad to have it when I was in the middle of WY where rest areas are few and far between. The van was perfect for me and my dogs on this long trip - totally reliable, easy to drive, and a comfortable space to sleep at night. I absolutely recommend 50 cent/Sunstorm vans!!
