Meet Ollie, our 2023 hybrid utility trailer rooftop tent. Ollie was custom built with freedom in mind. The tent we went with is a Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam 3. This tent is an awesome, rugged 3-person rooftop tent for year-round adventures. The utility trailer is great for packing your camp gear, or bikes keeping space inside your vehicle for precious cargo. Prioritizing size, the trailer was built to keep weight down, making it virtually towable by any vehicle. With a weight of about 600lbs (I move it by hand!) If you have a hitch, I'm sure can tow it.Panoramic skylights and windows allow you to stargaze, get closer to nature, and keep the tent cool and well ventilated. The tent also has exterior attachment points for lamps, storage solutions, or other gear to make a cozy, more personalized camp. The mattress in the tent is 56" x 96" which is slightly longer than a standard Queen (60” x 80”). As Thule states it is possible to sleep three(3) I have to imagine 2 adults/1 child and a staggered sleep arrangement.Although you are still sleeping inside a tent, I can insure you this is an experience like no other. Being off the ground, in a durable, high quality rooftop tent, provides extra protection from the wet ground when it rains and elevated from any animals.Setup/takedown, 10 minutes a piece, faster with practice.I have installed, stabilizing jacks to all 4 corners of the trailer, minimizing any "shake".Paired with the right gear, this experience can be quite enjoyable and freeing. The biggest disadvantage with a rooftop tent is that once you are set up, your car is trapped to the spot, but, with the tent mounted to a trailer, you simply disconnect and can enjoy the freedom of your vehicle. What's includedWe are keeping it simple. We provide a few dry totes for storage on the trailer (if needed). Everyone has a different definition of necessary or not, thus, if you're even considering our trailer, you probably already have the gear you want/need.Renters are required to bring sleeping bags/mattress padsRecommendationsTo get the most out of your experience, we suggest you set up and get nestled in. Although you can pickup and move in less than 30 minutes, I see this to be quite a tedious task if done more then a few times. Other things to noteWe want you to enjoy your stay, but have some simple rules. No festivals, No smoking and no pets.If anything comes up, let us know. Please.

Hello, my name is Benjamin, my wife is Lindsay our son is Cooper, and we have a 6 year old Fox Red Golden Retriever, Sadie. Since I was a young boy, I can remember some of my best memories spent camping. Let's just say I have been hooked ever since! I have had the privilege to experience camping in all forms, from back country all the way to "glamping". I love to backpack and portage but there has always been something special about the idea of "VanLife". Although it may not be a full-time reality for us at this point in our life, we have really grown to love the freedoms and challenges that come with the lifestyle. This fascination and curiosity, (with a hint of COVID-19 lockdown...) Inspired us to build our van. In April of 2021, we welcomed SULLY to the family and instantly knew it was a perfect fit. Sully (Sullivan) was the direct result of hours of watching our favourite Youtubers; (Eamon and Bec, Kingingit, Kara and Nate just to name a few) pursue their passions and live a modest lifestyle with the freedom of travel. After completing the build of our van in 2021, it became apparent to us, between working full-time jobs and trying to start a family, that we would need to be home more then we like. It was at this point we decided it would only be selfish of us to keep SULLY locked up and not share him with you! Although we are new to renting our van, we are eager to hear stories and the memories you have created. Please enjoy and we look forward to hosting you in the future.
Until then,
Ben, Lindsay and Sadie
