RecommendationsWe are in LOVE with our Cadet! This unique travel trailer is a blast from the past, guaranteed to be the only one at your campground. We enjoy going up and down the Island for weekend getaways or just a quick overnight to get out of the city. Because of its size and ease of use, not a whole lot of thought needs to go into planning the perfect location. Our favorite spot so far is Sooke potholes. 45-50 minutes from town, it's easy to get to and fits into virtually any size site. Other things to noteThe Cadet is a cherished family friend to Angela and I. We ask that anyone we share him with will respect him like you would your own family companion. Fun is a must, but please do not put the Cadet in unnecessarily dangerous situations because everyone would sorely miss him.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

It will largely depend on the length of the reservation. Feel free to inquire and I would happily weigh the situation and get back to you promptly.

Q.

How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

You can connect to a local water source. The hose is not included at the moment. There is no bathroom, so black water isn't an issue. Greywater is a 7-gallon tank placed under the outlet under the camper, designed to be portable for convenient disposal. Electrics are sun-powered at the moment, but I do intend to add a 120-volt battery charger, so hook up a shore power is possible.

Q.

What size is the hitch?

A.

The hitch size is 1 ⅞, and for the camper to be level in transport your hitch should be about 12" off the ground

Q.

Can I come take a look before I book?

A.

Yes, we encourage anyone who is taking the unit for longer than a few days to stop by and make sure everything is to their liking and their vehicle will tow it adequately.
