RecommendationsNew Brighton state beach is one of my favorite spots to camp. The small size of this trailer is also perfect for most of those first come, first served camp spots on your way up to Tahoe. I love taking my son fishing and the Bushwhacker is perfect for getting down to that special honey hole and limiting out of rainbows or browns. This is also a great solution for folks who just want a random road trip and want to eat up the miles while seeing the sights. Nice and light, a big plus with current gas prices. Easy to find a place to park it so you don't have to worry as much about planning ahead like you do with a larger trailer. Other things to noteWe want you to get outside and have fun. Yes, we do allow dogs, as long as they remember to wipe their paws. And remember, under no circumstances can pets be left alone in the trailer. We love festivals, just not with this trailer please. And no smoking or vaping whatsoever. Any evidence of smoking/vaping in the trailer will result in a $250 cleaning fee. Any missing items will be charged replacement cost. Please return propane tank full, $25 dollar charge will apply if tank is not filled. Most importantly, we want you to have fun. And while you're at it post some pictures tagged with #purplebanjorv

My family and I LOVE getting outside and taking the dog with us. I grew up in Scouts, a tradition our son is continuing, and outside has always been my favorite office. I backpacked and camped all over California when I was young and when I met Joanna the adventure continued. She's not much of a backpacker, but she shares my love of being outside. When Matthew was born things changed a little, as they should. We purchased our first RV, if you can call it that, about eight years ago. A small Appleby tent trailer from the 70's. It's rickety, but it gets you up off the ground. It's not much more than a couple bunks on a trailer, but a pack-n-play fits perfect, right in the middle. Fast forward a few years, add a Boston Terrier named Roxie and few more aching joints, we decided it was time to upgrade the Appleby. We bought a proper RV trailer and it has only expanded our opportunities. We've spent Christmas in Santa Barbara, launched rockets in the desert, and visited family while camping by the Russian River. My most memorable moments growing up were the adventures I had in Scouts, and camping with my friends. In high school I was lucky enough to have one of those defining adventures people make movies out of. A group of friends and I spent out Spring Break camping at New Brighton State Beach. The week was filled with the kind of hijinks you would expect from a dozen high school boys camping with no supervision. I've moved on to making those kind of memories with my family. Today, my favorite RV trip has been camping on the Russian River and my 8 year old son taking his pants off so he could wade deeper into the water to get a better cast. I'm not sure he'll remember as he gets older, but I will certainly never forget. Those are the kind of memories my family and I want to help others make. So, we entered the RV rental market. You can't cram a whole family into a teardrop, but you can take your kid fishing or you and your loved one can make a weekend getaway to the beach or a winery. Just be sure to take a lot of pictures.
