Review summary
Responsive, but inconsistent preparation
Host was responsive and informative to some, but refused to fix a non-working generator for one guest. Poor pre-trip cleaning and storage full of host's items were noted. Also, one booking was canceled by the host.
Easy to operate, with functional issues
Described as easy to get in and go, with a comfortable bed and included amenities like a table and chairs. However, the generator was non-functional (DTC 41) and solar only powered interior lights. It was also reported dusty with torn wipers for one trip.

2.0Our trip was no hook up camping for a week straight with six people for RAGBRAI, and I disclosed this before my booking was approved. Three days prior to trip, host says generator doesn't work due to bad fuel with an error 41 DTC. With no other RVs in the state to rent for the week, we had no choice but to take the RV with a non-working generator. Upon arriving, the RV looked like it had been sitting for months with thick dust on all the windows and torn wiper blades. Host refused to pay to have a service person come fix the generator during our trip, and told us to get our own generator during our trip instead. All storage was full of hosts things, and did not give us the necessary space for 6 people and their luggage. Bathroom mirror was dirty, floors were not swept, overall a very poorly done pre-trip preparation for the money we paid. RV has solar, but will only run interior lighting. Outlets would only work when we could run the generator that was provided by a family member.

5.0The RV met our needs very well. Stephanie was responsive and helpful in the process and in answering a question or two. Thelma became an important member of the support team in our family RAGBRAI adventure!

5.0We rented the RV for the singular purpose of seeing the solar eclipse of 8 April 2024. Having an RV gave us the mobility for last minute travel to get to cloud-free skies. As it turned out it was Carbondale, IL, not so far from Peoria: Stephanie de-winterized the RV early for us. For second-time RV renters it was easy to get in and go. The bed is comfortable for an RV too. A nice bamboo portable table and camping chairs were included.
