Wanda the Wandervan, a 2025 Winnebago Solis 59PX, is unique! Wanda offers a variety of sleeping options usually not found in a 21 ft. camper van. Twin beds? Queen bed? Single bed with a workstation? A double bed or two large sleeping bags (custom made with sheets, cotton fleece blanket, and a quilt) in the pop-top? Wanda seats four and sleeps four - so you choose which accommodation suits you, and we will have comfy bed linens and pillows waiting for you! From the outside, Wanda may look like a basic white camper van with a pop-top – but wait until you step inside! You will be greeted by Yosemite’s Half Dome on the refrigerator door, then an interior filled with artwork from nature and a teal and terracotta color palette.Custom touches abound! A handmade curtain offers privacy, light reduction, and helps control temperature in the van. French bathroom doors replace the awkward bi-fold door. Decorative “tiles” on the enlarged 30" dining table, and its optional 30" extension table, match the backsplash. Wall-to-wall rugs carpet the floor. You will be impressed with the comfort and ease of traveling and camping in Wanda! Come enjoy the daily activities of van and camp life, the coziness inside during a major thunderstorm, the relief from mosquitos the bug screens provide, the coolness of the fans and air conditioner when temperatures are hot outside, and the privacy at nighttime. Wanda is easy to drive and park! Wonderful trips and memories await you!We provide a detailed orientation and Renter's Manual to familiarize you with the Wanda's workings so your trip goes smoothly, So, whether you choose to head to the beach or the mountains, know you will go there in style and comfort. RecommendationsWe love Oregon State Parks, and state parks in general. They tend to provide more space and privacy than RV parks and be less expensive than national parks. Our favorite state parks are Beachside State Park, Cape Lookout State Park, South Beach State Park, and on the other side of the state , Farewell Bend State Park. We have also enjoyed camping in state parks in Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Utah.Other things to noteSMOKING IN THE VAN IS NOT PERMITTED.No music festivals (e.g. Burning Man), tailgate parties, off-road driving and climbing on top of the roof.VIOLATIONS OF THE ABOVE WILL RESULT IN FORFITURE OF THE SECURITY DEPOSIT.These are available upon request at no charge:

Thoroughly explains van features

Robert and his wife offer thorough in-person tours and a detailed rental book for van features. They are available for questions, flexible with pickup/drop-off times, and even offer airport pickup and military discounts, making them very accommodating.

Easy to drive and park

Wanda is a 21ft Winnebago Solis PX that handles easily, even in cities, with power, backup camera, and blind spot detection. It's clean, comfortable with a queen bed and pop-top, fully stocked with kitchen, hot water, toilet, and storage. Starlink is a useful add-on.

Robert was outstanding from start to finish. His Van had everthing you will need. We enjoyed our trip and part of that was because of Robert's van. I would definitely rent from. him again. Thanks Rob!!!

Bob was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. He and his wife have thought of everything and left nothing to be desired in Wanda the Wandervan! Wanda was so nicely equipped and comfortable and homey, we loved every minute of our time in the van. The components are easy to use, Bob also gave us very good instructions (both in person and via his rental book). If we had questions we could just look up our question in the rental book and we were all set, but Bob was also available to contact if we needed help as well.I really can't say enough nice things about the van and the owners, it was so cute and comfortable but it also has everything you need thanks to Bob and his wife thinking of everything! Also the van is super easy to drive and park even in the city. I had no problem driving it and I'm 5'1"! We used the pop tent and it's super easy to open and close as well. We also took advantage of the add on Starlink and it worked perfectly every night as well as once when we were hiking and had no signal to check directions to our next destination, so that's a nice add on. If you are thinking of renting a camper van Wanda and Bob have what you need!

Frequently asked questions

Q.

How does the electrical hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

For campsites with electricity, a surge protector and 30-amp power cord are provided - enabling the use of the AC & appliances like coffee pots, blenders, etc. No outside electrical source? There is a generator for limited use of appliances, but it will not power the AC overnight.

Q.

How does the water hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

The van will have a full 20-gallon freshwater tank when you pick it up - usually plenty for a short trip unless there are lots of showers. A hookup to an outside water source throughout time in camp does not work well because a back door needs to stay open. If the tank needs to be refilled, a water hose, water filter, and pressure regulator with instructions are provided.

Q.

How does the sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?

A.

Easy! No sewer hook up needed! The cassette toilet is easy to use and to empty. We will show you how - and it is in the Renter's Manual.

Q.

How do we know what to do when we leave camp and when we return the van?

A.

A departure checklist is on wall by the bathroom and in the Renter's Manual. A checklist for rental van return is also in the Renter's Manual along with illustrated instructions for emptying the cassette toilet and the grey water tank. These topics are also covered in your orientation.

Meet your host, Robert

Member since 2024

For several years, my wife and I talked about traveling in an RV once we retired. Finally, this spring after retiring, we purchased our 2025 Winnebago Solis PX! Eager to hit the road, we visited local campgrounds and made one 33 day & 3700-mile trip! Our dogs Charlie and Maggie enjoyed it so much now we call them the Camping Cavapoos! Wanda – and the trips – were a delight! We hope you enjoy your adventure in Wanda – and welcome feedback on how we can make the experience even better!
