Getting Outdoors

Many visitors flock here to experience the fishing at Beaver Lake County Park. Grab your gear from the motorhome rental and toss a line from the shore, from a canoe, or from the fishing pier. Bluegill, northern pike, and walleye are a few of the fish varieties you can catch in Beaver Lake.

Boating and swimming are a few more popular activities you can enjoy here. From the designated boat launch, accessing the water is easy. Paddle your kayak across calm, 700-acre Beaver Lake as the warm sun shines down. If it gets too hot, you can jump into the refreshing water to cool off.

Back on dry land, a hiking trail wraps around the lake, which is perfect for those looking to get their steps in. The trail is a 9.2-mile walk that offers a great view of the area. You get to experience the lake from all angles and see the vast array of wildlife that lives nearby. It's a really nice trail for birdwatching and taking the dog for a walk. For a little friendly competition, challenge your crew to a game of baseball or volleyball at the park's sports fields.
