To the north and south of the city you can find an abundant choice of beaches and barrier islands like Marco Island, Ten Thousand Islands, Bonita Springs, Captiva Island, Sanibel Island and Pine Island, all of which are ideal choices for day trippers who enjoy nature and water sports. Inland you will find the outstanding Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve and Lake Okeechobee, all of which offer outstanding wildlife viewing and thrilling air-boat excursions. When you need a city excursion you can visit Miami, Fort Myers, or Tampa, for great shopping and dining as well as good museums, galleries and children’s attractions. Mickey Mouse and his Camp Wilderness park is a quick 3hour drive. The Florida Keys is also a short drive, about 4.5 hours from our driveway with many gorgeous RV resorts. Our favorite is Big Pine Key Fishing Resort. We have also stayed at beautiful Florida KOA's, Thousand Trails resorts and Florida State Parks all around our sunny Florida coasts.Other things to noteWe welcome you and your family to make our Happy Camper your own.

FAVORITE TRIPS: Our 2019 vacation destination was the Great Smokey Mountains. We explored the picturesque Pigeon Forge area while staying at the Riveredge RV Park. It was truly a one of a kind vacation! Our 2020 plan for "Going Out West" was postponed...because, you know...quarantine! Yet we stumbled upon a gem during a weekend getaway to the white sugary beaches of Destin, Florida. If you have never been to the panhandle, you have got to check out the Destin West RV Resort! An unforgettable getaway just steps from the teal waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
