FirewoodRecommendationsProspector Campground, Heaton Bay Campground, Lowry Campground, Windy Point Campground, Peak One Campground, and Pine Cove Campground are all less than 10 minutes from our front door! All are gorgeous and water-adjacent.We also love Pueblo Reservoir, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Cañon City, Turquoise Lake, Salida, and anything in the Steamboat area!60 miles from Denver
32 miles from Vail
130 miles to Aspen
190 miles to Fruita
290 miles to MoabOther things to noteThis camper is the Baja edition, meaning it has some additional features for living off the grid. High ground clearance, oversized tires, an enclosed underbelly, XL propane tank, dual battery with inverter, and a gas-powered fridge make this camper more capable than average for boondocking. Conversely, certain features of this trailer are only available while connected to shore/generator power, including the microwave and A/C. The heat works off propane but the fan in the furnace requires batteries. It will only last a few nights without being recharged. If you plan on staying off grid, we HIGHLY recommend you bring or rent a generator. You should also let us know your plan so we can tell you if our camper can accommodate your off the grid adventure or if it may fall short of expectations. We'll give it to you straight. We require a brake controller (for safety purposes) for any vehicle with a tow rating below 7500lbs. You may bring your own, but we will require you to rent ours if you don't meet the requirements. We supply the Curt Echo brake controller, which is universal and requires no special wiring. It should fit any vehicle with a factory 7 pin connector. What this camper CANNOT do is offroading. Anything more than a well graded forest service road will destroy a camper. Permanent structural damage. There is a reason that a Black Series camper starts at $75,000 (!!! I know, but google it) and this camper retails for less than a third of that. They're built very differently.

5.0We’ve rented Dale’s camper multiple times and we will continue to do so as long as our request is approved. :) If I could give 10/10, I would. This camper has been a game changer for our camping trips. It keeps us warm and comfy during those cool mountain nights. It’s always super clean at pick up. It has everything you need- a mini stove, mini fridge, sink, a bathroom, kitchen table, stereo, cookware, etc. Our daughter loves sleeping in the bunk beds! It’s truly the perfect set up for your next outdoor adventure. Dale is always easy to work with and has been flexible with pick up/drop off, which we appreciate. Also to note, this is very reasonably priced compared to the crazy rates some other people try and charge to rent their RV’s. Thankful that we’ve been able to create so many wonderful family memories in your camper!

Frequently asked questions
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We strive to be as flexible as possible. Some days we have to work around school/work schedules, but we try to communicate right away, early in the booking process.
