Every system has been gone through by an engineer who'd rather fix something properly than fix it fast.Built for a familyWith 5 seatbelted positions and 6 sleeping spots, the Brave comfortably handles a family of five plus luggage, bikes and camping gear. The layout is simple and livable: an open living area, a full kitchen, a bathroom with shower, and a rear bedroom with a real bed — not something you rebuild every night.Solid mechanicals, modern powerThe Brave runs the most respected combination of its generation: a GM 8.1L Vortec engine with an Allison 1000 transmission on a Workhorse chassis. It's stout, it climbs hills without complaining, and it drives far more easily than you'd expect — if you can handle a full-size SUV, you can handle the Brave.We put it to the test ourselves. Last season we drove the Brave from the Townships all the way to Les Escoumins on the North Shore — up the Saint Lawrence to watch whales — and Route 138 didn't give us a single problem.
