We will bring the Troutmobile to the airport or anywhere you’d like. So you can just hop in your vintage RV and enjoy a spectacular vacation. So much to see! We had an awesome time in the Troutmobile. My wife and I drove it to Yellowstone and Grand Teton over the course of 5 days. The Troutmobile was the perfect size--enough room inside to chill and sleep, but small enough to fit in regular car-sized parking spaces in crowded Yellowstone parking areas. Driving an older vehicle took some getting used to, but once I got the hang of the different handling and pedals, it was fun to drive. For a small vehicle, it was packed with a surprising array of stuff--chairs, cookware, dishes, kitchen items, etc. Packing up and hitting the road each morning was a snap. We did have a minor mechanical issue and The Vintage was very responsive and quick to help sort it out. Great hosts! I would 100% rent the Troutmobile again--hopefully in a year or so and take it to Glacier!

TheVintage knows their vehicles and the area surrounding their home of Western MT very well and they want you to get the absolute most out of both for your trip. They run you through the important quirks and how-tos of the vehicle upon pickup so there is no worry or confusion when you're driving or setting up camp somewhere with no service; and if you do need them, their response time is fantastic. We told them our plans and mapped a rough route and they provided us with a bunch of excellent suggestions for routes and stops that we hadn't heard of or would have thought of - we'd never heard of the Sawtooths before, but they were spectacular and one of the many worthwhile additions to our trip we made at their suggestion. This thing puts a smile on the faces of everyone who sees it, so do be prepared to have people stop you and ask about it everywhere you go - you'll be sure to have some interesting interactions and hear some wild stories. If you've clicked this listing and checked reviews looking for validation that this is the vehicle you want to spend your vacation in, look no further.

The Vintage RV Rental is a Superhost

Superhosts are highly-rated and experienced, ensuring you have a fantastic outdoor experience.

We love vintage Toyota, Chinook, Sunrader and other Vintage RVs. We are trying to save and restore a culture of campers. Our RVs are reliable and well maintained. Ed had done a "wheel to wheel" upgrade on all our vehicles. Each camper is totally different and we attempt to keep the original owners idea in mind. We have four current rentals: Troutmobile, The Nook, Time Traveler and The Gazelle. Also working on Mighty Oak which will be a 4x4 conversion with a 2.4L turbo diesel engine and Patina Cruiser 4x4 build equipped with over-landing gear. Visit our website or instagram for more pictures and adventures.
