- great host, incredibly responsive and passionate about guests having a great experience - awesome vehicle decked out with everything you could need, even added in a pack raft! - held up well over many miles and some dirt roads to some epic scenic spots - comfy bed (that is also convertible?! but we just left it as a full bed - came with clean sheets and bedding - a bit more rugged than some of the fancier builds but it truly has everything you need

Meet your host, Andrew

Member since 2025

Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Gecsedi. I was born and raised in the concrete jungle of New York City, and in 2012 I moved to Alaska serving in the U.S. Army at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Years later, I purchased “Susitna,” the camper van, from a dear friend of mine, Geoff. This van represents my personal motto: “Land, Sea, and Air.” Land reflects my passion for biking, which you’ll experience through the two fat-tire bikes included with Susitna. Sea comes from my love of scuba diving and the endless curiosity to explore what remains undiscovered—this is why I’ve included a two-person pack raft for your own water adventures. Air is inspired by my life as an Alaskan bush pilot; throughout the van, you’ll find small touches meant to inspire the wonder and freedom of flight. My goal with Susitna is to share this philosophy with you and create an intimate, unforgettable way to explore Alaska—by land, sea, and air.
