About Scenic's RV rentals
In 2017, we travelled to New Zealand and rented a campervan to our the South Island. We fell in love with vanlife and over the next few years dreamed of owning our very own van. With some determination we purchased an upfitted Dodge Promaster Campervan and toured the country for a year. We want everyone to have the Vanlife Experience and see the great outdoors in style! We started Scenic to make that dream come true. We now rent a fleet of campervans to adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers!

I’m a repeat customer and have more fun than the last with each trip I take. I appreciate parking my car in your secured lot and how honest you are about saving $$$ by using my own insurance. The vans are easy to drive - even the MAMMOTH, clean and well equipped. The only problem is my trips aren’t long enough. 💕

Ilan assisted us with our van walk through (he was GREAT) but the van was infested with ants. Which Ilan tried to help us resolve even though it wasn't his regular job (filling in for someone for the walk through).
We were trying to still be positive and just deal with the situation. But when you spend 8+ hrs before our trip cleaning and spraying them out from engine to inside of cabin/bed area we paid for a day wasted.Our trip took us to an area of the state that was rainy.
It was beautiful but the van leaked from the slider door into the cabin area (a GOOD amount) and onto the cushion covering the toilet area.The drivers/passenger chairs were very comfortable during the 8 hr drive. The diesel was great on gas but challenging (where we went) to find a Shell station or one that had Diesel 2 (but we made it work).
We slept in the bed 6 nights which was rough. We aren't fancy, but for our 5'6 and 5'10 bodies was pretty cramped (not the fault of the vehicle, just the configuration for us personally was awkward).Lastly, checking in. I wish I could say that was an easy process!
I think I could and WOULD have let everything else pretty much slide. But as everyone knows when you come back from vacation and need to get yourself ready for your regular work week things need to run smooth and this DID NOT!
Trouble getting complete information to secure vehicle, troubles contacting the person on MANY occasions before and up to standing in front of a locked gate waiting for a response from MANY texts and some phone calls. Finally had to contact the own (which no one wants to bother on a Sunday) he was very kind and gracious and contacted the lady responsible. During the trip I was also told she would follow-up with me on a specific situation and to "contact her" for any issues that arise.
But she did not honor her word on this until we pulled back into town. This is when she inquired about our concerning situation.All in all we are glad we rented before ever purchasing one of these trailer vans and are appreciative for the experience good, bad or indifferent. I think we take things in stride and learn from everything either way.

The whole experience with Scenic Vanlife was awesome. They have a great staff that kept us up to date on our trip with the Van and gave us a great pick up and drop off experience. The Van itself was amazing. Truly everything you could want in a smaller RV, that is easy to drive and can do it all. Great gas mileage to, was a nice surprise. Highly recommend checking out the Van life experience.

This is my second time renting with Scenic Vans. The trip was wonderful. The vehicle was easy to handle and well maintained. I would highly recommend this company for camper enthusiasts. You will love the ride!

The van did serve as expected and very comfortable , sleeping area has a lot of room. The personal are professional. Mileage 18 to 23.5 per gallon.

Scenic Vans was great to work with even when our plans had to change. We rented the Shasta for one week and enjoyed it. It drives like a car (almost) and we could stay in tent only spots. sleeping on a real mattress made all the difference in the world.

Kevin and crew were very helpful and patient. The van drove really well and the bed was comfortable. The van's cabin battery recharged quickly just by running the engine for about10 minutes when necessary. Our overall camping trip was great. Thanks again.

Kevin, Michael and the entire Scenic Vans crew are a pleasure work with. From outstanding communication in the rental contract process to support while on the road -- we could not have felt more comfortable. This was our 4th RV rental and first with Scenic Vans, and we cannot wait to book with them again!

Customer service was nice, but we experienced a couple of issues with the van... no AC as planned and paid for, (something about a missing piece from last customer) the dash board had an issue, and the cupboards stuck and were hard to open. When we mentioned to Michael as we checked back in, he said we are not the first and won't be the last to complain about this, and yes, they knew there was a short in the dashboard. OUr thought was "then fix it"! and wish they had told us so we weren't worried what we did wrong. WIthout AC, we were too hot to hang in van in day time and cut our trip short. I look forward to the refund from the lack of AC that doesn't seem accounted for yet. and we never spent the wood. And while we are glad that Kevin gave us a bigger van since we had dogs, we found that it was pretty tight quarters for our pups. Overall the van drove fine, and it was fun to give this a first try. thank you

Overall, we had a most amazing time in our Mammoth Van. Took a trip from the Bay Area down to Sequoia National Forest, Joshua Tree, Alabama Hills, and rounded out in Tahoe. Smooth ride, great amenities, excellent customer service, and all around positive vibes. The only constructive feedback I’d give would be to ensure that upon pick up, the van is fully topped off with water, solar, and gas and ready to ride. Can’t wait for our next trip. We’ll be sure to come back to Scenic Vans! And oh - super pet friendly!

What a great experience we had with Scenic Vanlife. From personally answering all our questions on the phone, helping us choose the right van for our first experience, walking us through how to use everything in the sparkling clean and fully supplied vehicle to an easy return process. The whole crew was cheerful and helpful. How refreshing! As a retired couple not wishing to invest long term in an expensive travel van, we plan on utilizing Scenic Vanlife for our future excursions.
