Connor was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our trip as well.
On day one, after arriving in Salt Lake City around 11 am, we stopped to pick up some groceries before heading to Zion where we stayed at the Watchman Campground for the night.
On the second day we spent the majority of our time hiking through the majestic Zion NP and later that afternoon making our way to Bryce Canyon. We were able to find dispersed USFS campsites right outside the park to stay the night.
On day three we spent half the day exploring Bryce Canyon before driving the scenic Highway 12 through Escalate and on to Capitol Reef to hike, check out some amazing views and catch a beautiful sunset. That night we were able to find an easily accessible and beautiful dispersed campsite right off of Highway 24 at the edge of the park boundary.
On day four, we awoke to a gorgeous sunrise right at our campsite. From there we continued on Hwy 24 and headed to Arches. This year they started requiring a permit to enter the park but we were fortunate enough to snag one the day before. We spent half of the day hiking and exploring Arches before heading over to Canyonlands only 30 minutes away to catch some breathtaking views into the vast canyons. There were plenty of great views to take in that were easily accessible from the roadside.
Late that afternoon we decided to head back towards Salt Lake City - our trip was not over just yet.
We made it most of the way before deciding to stop in at a hotel so that we could get a "proper" shower before our flight home the next day. Day five - since we were so close to Salt Lake City already and didn't need to get to our flight until the afternoon, we decided to drive out west to see the Bonneville Salt Flats only an hour and a half away. It was a perfect way to cap off the trip.
This had been one of our favorite trips yet. When you can drive your house around, you can do pretty much anything you want.
