About Peter's RV rentals

I live year-round in Talkeetna, Alaska, and in the summer run a fly fishing guiding business in addition to building and renting wilderness cabins. Most of my off-season is working as a Journalist for numerous national periodicals and websites. If you're in Alaska, please pick up one of my books, Tales of the Alaska State Troopers, from Skyhorse Publishing. We often have our standard poodle Millie in tow and she loves to meet our renters.

This was my first time renting through Outdoorsy, and it was a great first time experience. The communication was thorough. Peter and Josh made the entire experience painless. Josh even picked me up at the airport! The entire experience was positive. Will rent from again.

My 10 year old son and myself rented this van for a week and explored the Kenai Peninsula. This van was everything we needed to be on the go during vacation. The communication was great and we had no problems at all.

This was really a great experience. It was our first time with an RV, and this Sprinter van was a wonderful introduction! Peter (owner) was helpful and easy to communicate with, we experienced no issues, and pick up and drop off were clear cut and easy.

In spite of a small leak in the water supply and a dysfunctional AC outlet, this van was a joy to travel in; Great visibility and maneuverability. We drove it from Anchorage to Chena, via Dinali and then back down to Seward. The bed was very comfortable and the heater worked like a charm. Peter and Josh were easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Van was a great option from Anchorage and I was super happy with it. Our trip was AMAZING! Communication was immediate and pickupdrop off convenient and flexible.I think it would helpful to add some details to the listing like stove is Butane burning, van only has CarPlay for iPhones, not AndroidAuto as is pictured and toilet is DIY bucket toilet. I've rented a few sprinter type vans before, so I'm comparing this one to others. Upgrading to an induction burner that plugs in to the outlet would allow the door to be closed while cooking, and upgrading to a urine-diverting toilet would be really appreciated as we didn't want to use it unless it was an emergency situation. Adding latches to the cabinets and fridge would have also prevented us from having to jig up a bungee cord across the fridge so the contents didn't dump across the van. Storage was a bit limited, a drawer above the batteries would have been a great use of space, rather than searching for utensils above my head.

Peter is a terrific host & his van is awesome. We had everything we needed to relax by a fire at night, cook meals & make coffee, and the bed is very comfortable. I would definitely rent again!

Woot woot! Rent this van and tour in style like a boss! We had a superb 19 night tour of Alaska in this incredible van! So many compliments on this van from bystanders. Bed super comfy, easy to cook, open space to move around, easy to drive, easy to park, the 360 backup cameras were amazing. Campervanning in Alaska was easy….lots of trash disposal places, lots of available showers, lots of roadside restrooms, and plenty of camping sites, even if it was just side of the road overlooks. Peter was great, and we can’t thank him enough for having this Rockstar van for us! Kate was amazing, and I felt I made a friend in Alaska with her! Do it!
