Storyteller. Adventure-seeker. And family man. Love to travel and explore with my wife and kids. Favorite trip of all time? Traveling in a Honda Odyssey Minivan with my then 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter from west coast to east coast and back - for 8 weeks. That trip was priceless. Discovering the glory of America while sharing with family my favorite places around the country. One of the greatest things I could ever do for my kids. Since then, we learned about RVs - and have traveled in much greater comfort while enjoying many shorter trips in the western US. Love making new friends, learning new cultures and having fun with nature. After many years as a broadcast journalist, I'm now producing documentaries, teaching journalism and seeking great stories around the world. Am especially inspired by CBS newsman Charles Kuralt and his American stories from adventures "On the Road."

Pick up and drop off was straightforward and simple. Farland even has a library of videos showing how to work everything in the RV. After watching them I felt like I already knew everything about the RV.
The RV itself was very clean, fully sanitized, spacious and had everything our family of 5 needed for our 5 day journey. It is truly an all in one package with the best of both worlds. It allowed us to enjoy the outdoors and feel like being one nature but with the convenience of a shower, AC, microwave, comfortable bed, bathroom, a stove etc. We weren't confined to a specific location and could explore all around us. We were able to hike miles of trails in the Sequoia's, park near a beautiful stream, enjoy the fresh air and see tons of wildlife. The RV was very reliable, driving hundreds of miles and trekking up the steep hairpin turns of the Sequoia national forest with ease. My whole family agrees that this was probably one of our best adventures ever. This is absolutely the best way to explore nature and it saved us a ton of money as well since we didn't have to pay for expensive rooms in a hotel/motel to house all 5 of us.
I definitely recommend Farland and this RV for anyone looking for an amazing adventure in the mountains, down at the beach, or even just for long road trips. Thanks again Farland for your incredible customer service, a fantastic RV and an awesome experience our family will never forget.

Easy, open, honest, friendly communication w owner. Even gave guidance and travel tips as it was our first time venturing in a day camper + rooftop vehicle.

Thank you Farland for such an amazing setup. Wherever we went, we had a comfortable cozy place to stay. With this camper, you can stop at any viewpoint, set up tent in less than a minute, relax and enjoy the view. I had a great time with Lauren and we watched the sunset in Santa Barbara and Solvang and it was honestly the best camping experience I have ever had! It was so comfortable and easy 10/10 recommend! Glamping indeed!

Safety wise, I never felt like the RV was going to leave me stranded; its got the torque! It's super compact and somehow manages to carry everything I needed for my trip.
It was very easy to communicate with the owner; he would respond back within the hour (unlike others that go MIA). Another thing that really stood out was the fact that everything was very well organized & could definitely tell that everything was sanitized, so that was comforting, considering COVID-19 paranoia. Overall, I can't complain about anything. Definitely going to rent the Happy Camper on my next outing!
