Hi! I’m Khaled Zainab, an outdoor enthusiast based in Beaverton, Oregon. I’ve always loved the freedom of road trips and the peaceful escape of nature, and that’s what inspired me to start renting out my vintage camper van. I believe travel doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated — just simple, comfortable, and full of good memories. I’ve set up my van to reflect that: easy to use, well-equipped with essentials, and ready for adventure. We had the most incredible trip to the Oregon Coast and it was only made better by this little van. It was our first time in the area and first time renting on Outdoorsy. The rental and pick up process was super easy and Khaled made sure to give us a solid run down of the van so we felt very comfortable hitting the road. Driving along the coast was stunning and we felt the van offered a beautiful panoramic view. We managed to figure out the bluetooth sound system (thank you youtube) to maximize our good vibes. There was so much storage space for all our gear, and it was such a cool experience to explore around and have everything with us in the van. I typically get tired of driving but I found it was so enjoyable riding around in this thing, it felt like an experience in itself and I really got to take in the sights from the driver’s seat. The bed was cozy, however I would recommend bringing extra blankets for cold nights and we found it more comfortable to add another duvet on top of the mattress as it can be a little thin. I also agree with other reviews that the bed may be a little short for anyone over 5’8. The return process was also seamless and Khaled was very responsive via messages and flexible in terms of timing. We loved it so much we can’t wait to come back! Many core memories made, thank you ❤️

Khaled was extremely communicative and lenient with our trip plans. He gave us suggestions as well as properly prepared us for anything that may arise during our trip. The van worked perfectly and helped fulfill one of our dream trips! We will definitely book again whenever we are back in Oregon!

This van was super fun! It got us through our hot springs road trip with no issues. In fact, it made us want to get a van of our own. We got about 18 mpg which was better than I expected. Bed may be a little short for anyone taller than 5”9 but it worked for us. Would rent again!

This van is such a great deal! Great gas mileage, no weird smell, super communicative yet chill host. Cozy vibe, clean bedding, and comfortable to drive. Khaled was so gracious and polite even though I basically returned the van in the middle of the night. Loved that it was roomy inside yet compact enough to fit in a regular parking spot. First Outdoorsy experience.

My partner and I took this nice van on a very long trip to Eastern Oregon, almost 800 miles round trip, and it worked great! It was exactly as I expected it to be. The pictures matched what we got. The van is a 1997 conversion unit and it was a blast from the past for us! It ran very well, a little slow going up some mountains but great on the straightaway. The cruise control worked great and the van easily kept up on the highway. There were no problems on the steep downgrades and we had no need to down shift or even break often. It held speed very well. The mechanicals all worked well the speedometer was a little quirky but worked. The gas tank has no bottom! We refilled it every time it got to 3/4 which was about 10 gallons. I estimated it got between 13-17 mpg which is what we expected. We were very happy to be able to pull into a campsite and not have to pitch a tent! We slept well on the memory foam mattress. There was a lot of storage! It has great head room for me (I’m 5’2 and could almost stand upright ;) It was easy to get in and out of due to the running boards. We would definitely use this van again.

We had a great trip using Khaled's van. It was easy to drive and cozy inside and exactly what we needed. Khaled was also really flexible around pick up and return times which we really appreciated. We would definitely rent this van again.

My mom and I rented this van for a road trip along the Oregon coast, and it was perfect for the adventure. The van may be older, but it’s incredibly solid and reliable—exactly what we needed for the winding coastal roads. It ran smoothly the entire time and gave us no trouble at all.

Fuel gauge, speedometer, and odometer when out intermittantly. Tires didn't have much tread on them and kept losing air. Had to find gas stations throughout the trip when the tires would get too soft and fill them up again. Almost ran out of gas in the woods when we didn't realize that the fuel gauge had stopped working and the engine started running out of gas. On the way home we filled it up at the gas station. Or so we thought. The gauge quit working again and the pumped stopped pumping so we figured it was full. Told the host all this and he still charged me for not filling the gas all the way up.

The van was the perfect size for camping and driving through the city. It slept 2 comfortably and had enough storage for a weeks worth of food and clothes.

The car has great character and Khaled was easy to get a hold of and had great communication. People loved the car and got so many compliments when driving it.
