Where do I begin? During the booking process Patrick was responsive and I had every reason to believe that I was in for a good trip. It was trailer pick-up day where things started to go wrong, and from bad to worse.- As I was driving to the meet up location at the designated pick up time I was informed that Patrick wasn't going to be there. This is the same time that he chose to inform me that the generator that was supposed to be included with the trailer wasn't functioning. This forced me to scramble for another generator, required me to purchase a corresponding power cord adapter (because his was broken), and ultimately delayed the trailer pick up by almost 3 hours.- The trailer had a vehicle parked in front of it that was just close enough that I didn't feel comfortable hitching it up on my own because it would have forced me to block traffic on a fairly narrow residential street.- The following morning - DEPARTURE DAY. it was this day that I discovered that one propane tank was completely empty and the other was only partially full, and that the trailer was missing a fresh water supply hose. These discoveries required me to purchase propane and a new RV water supply hose - delaying my departure by a couple of hours. Patrick told me that propane tanks were close to full - I think it's fair to say that Patrick's definition of full propane tanks and my definition of full propane tanks are very different - the same goes with a water supply hose being onboard versus a water supply hose actually not being on board.- I filled up the fresh water tank en route to my destination, checked to make sure the drain valve was closed, and confirmed the tank was full by testing the water gauge. As I continued to my destination I looked at the side mirror on my truck and saw a water trail on the road behind the trailer. I wrote it off as me just possibly overfilling the water tank and that excess water was draining out of the vent as designed. When I arrived at my destination after sunset a few hours later and began to set up the trailer in the campground I tested the water gauge again and saw that the tank was only 1/3 full - a HUGE issue that forced my group to ration water over a 5 day period in a campground with no potable water. No showers for anyone in my group over that 5 day period.- As we were setting up the trailer we discovered that all the stabilizer jacks on the trailer were broken and could not be extended. 3 were held in place with bailing wire, and another was held in place with rope. Every time you walked in the trailer it was as if you were in a small boat in a stormy sea. Yep, it was that wobbly. Nope - the fact the stabilizer jacks didn't work was nevery mentioned to me by the Patrick.- The morning after we arrived at the campround we were doing dishes in the kitchen sink when a member of my group noticed a large pool of water forming on the floor of the trailer coming from the base of the kitchen cabinets. We open up the cabinets directly below the kitchen sink and discovered that the p-trap and tail piece were loose, causing gray water to leak into pots and pans and overflow onto the floor. This was an enormous mess that we spent a good hour cleaning up.- Not that we were taking showers any way given the lack of water, but the water heater never worked.Overall, a very disappointing rental experience. I feel like I ended up renting a turd with a little bit of lipstick applied to it. I knew Patrick wasn't going to be home when I returned the trailer so I reached out to him via text and through the Outdoorsy platform expressing my desire to speak with him about the experience. I didn't hear back from him so I followed up. Cricketts, radio silence, no response. I'm not sure if the guy fell off the face of the earth or if he just doesn't care enough to address the concerns of a dissatisfied customer. There's a part of me that still doesn't want to think that Patrick knowingly rented the trailer to me in the condition that it was in. However, it's obvious he made little to no effort to make sure the trailer was in good working order before renting it to me. It takes alot to motivate me to leave a negative review - most things I can just roll with. But the culmination of events during this rental experience just rubbed me the wrong way and if there were such a thing as a negative star rating, this experience would certainly be deserving of it.
