Hi - we are Chad and Alina and have two kiddos aged 10 and 5. We love the outdoors and the Silver Fox has been a great addition to our family. We moved to San Diego from San Francisco 11 years ago and Southern California has been a great place for our family with all there is to explore in the outdoors. We love to surf, cycle, run, practice yoga, and do anything that gets us out of the house. An interesting thing about us is that we met tango dancing!

Awesome Camper Van we took the mountains!!

This was our first time using Outdoorsy. The website made it easy to search for something that fit our needs and was within our price range. Chad was very easy to work with and helpful during the pickup and return process. His camper van fit our needs well. Although I am 6'4" and it was a tad short in height. Fortunately, we did not spend much time inside the camper van. We were on a short vacation to Agua Caliente County Park on Hwy S2 in the desert. We drove through mountains from San Diego to the desert and the van handled the hills and curves very well, i.e., plenty of power and not too much worry about high center of gravity! We stayed at a shared campground with friends so we were glad they had a converter plug for us to use; it would be good to have one in the van for situations where a normal 3-prong plug is all that is available. We did run out of propane during the trip, but I can't fault Chad. He indicated that ensuring propane was sufficient was the renter's responsibility and he thought there was enough gas for our short trip. He also thought the gauge for that tank was not working based on what another renter had told him and Chad had not had time to look into it before our rental. We did fill the tank upon our return and Chad checked the propane gauge and found out it did work. If we'd had known that, we would have filled the tank before we left. So just a recommendation to renters: check with the host to see if they or the renter is responsible for fresh water and propane and ensure you have time in your schedule to fill those two tanks if the renter is responsible. Also be sure to check for a dump station and include that in your schedule for returning the vehicle. We were fortunate that one was at the park where we stayed.
As to Aqua Caliente County Park, we enjoyed the stay a lot. Had a good hike through / around one of the local hills, cooked over their firepit, had BBQ, and enjoyed that the facilities (restroom and shower) were close by and clean!

The van is really nice, we fit in it very comfortably (family of three) and we had a great time in it. Chad (renter) is very responsive and easy to talk to, van pickup and drop off were super nice and easy.

Chad was very easy to work with and very responsive. This was a great way to travel across 4 states. The RV was super clean and everything was in good working order as well as easy to drive.

We enjoyed a 7 day camping/road trip from Monterey to San Diego. We comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 kids in the camper. Chad was very accommodating the entire time and the van was in great condition.
