Sooooooo incredibly fun to take the family camping with Russel. The van was clean and fun to drive. Plenty of room for our two kids and us. Casey was very responsive to our questions. I can now say I've camped in a real Westie.

Unfortunately Russell the rental van broke down, but Casey was very helpful in cancelling our reservation and arranging for a refund.

For the first 5 days of our 8-day rental we had a good trip to central Oregon, enjoyed staying in the VW van, and had easy and clear communication with the van's owner. Unfortunately on Day 6 everything went to hell. The van had a mechanical breakdown, and Outdoorsy provided ZERO help. Our family of four were stranded in the middle of nowhere, it was impossible to get the help we needed from Outdoorsy, and it was only our own perseverance and help from local people that got us home safely. This was a very hard and bad experience. While the trip had beautiful moments, we all wound up exhausted and completely fed up with Outdoorsy. Communication with the van's owner remained easy and friendly the entire time, he was very patient and understanding, which really helped.

Casey was super nice, helpful, and made pick-up and drop-off easy. We had a great time on our 4 night camping trip in "Russell." So fun to drive and camp in this old classic!

Great experience with Casey and taking Russell out for a weekend adventure with my two kids. I’ve d oven an older Westy before so I knew what I was getting and we had a blast.

My husband and I had a great trip in Russell. We drove to Orcas Island from Seattle, and spent 3 nights on the island. It was pretty great to sit on the comfy seats in back and eat dinner while we waited in the ferry line. Russell ran really well the entire trip, and had no issues that Casey didn't already communicate to us (it's an old vehicle, so some quirks are expected). In the mornings we used the stove to make coffee and breakfast. We hooked up to electricity with no problem (it was a short trip, so we didn't use the water hookup).

We had a lovely time taking Russell on a week long adventure along the Oregon coast. Casey was a great host, passionate and knowledgeable about older Westfalias, giving a thorough "preflight" brief on what to expect along with tips and tricks for once you're underway. We extended by a day and he was very fast to respond and accommodating. Russell himself is a vintage Westfalia. If you've never experienced on of these camper vans, its a unique experience, cozy, well designed, surprisingly maneuverable, but you're not going anywhere fast. If you're looking for an adventure for two or a family trip somewhere this is a great van to do it in, though if you're planning to go into the mountains, be aware that you're not going anywhere fast.

Casey was a fabulous owner to deal with and was quick to answer questions and coordinate pick up/drop off! Russell was a fun vintage camper van for our family camping weekend. This older van is original and as such, has its quirks (Casey went through all of them in the walk through). Driving a Westy is all about the adventure and we were so happy to have our dog along for the ride!
