Twin Fountains RV Park

Dow McCarty is an entrepreneurial architect who designed, built, and opened Twin Fountains RV Park in September 2006. A veteran of the Korean War, Dow served as a member of the Marine Corp. and fought at the battle of the Chosin Reservoir. In his seventies, Dow traveled all over the United States in his Class-A RV, experiencing hundreds of RV parks along the way.

His experience led him to believe that there was a need for a different kind of RV park – one that was centrally located, close to all the action, but still felt like a secluded oasis. And so, Twin Fountains RV Park was born. Nestled in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, the park offers all the amenities of a luxury resort, without sacrificing the peace and tranquility that travelers crave. So whether you’re looking for an action-packed vacation or a relaxing getaway, Twin Fountains RV Park is the perfect place for you.

Dow’s ever-creative mind raced until, at long last, the idea for Twin Fountains formed. Envisioned as the culmination of his journeys and desires, his RV park would embody all the features, amenities, and possibilities Dow valued as an experienced traveler.

“I wanted to create the RV park where I would want to go,” he said.

And so he set out to do just that, starting with convenient access to all the park amenities from each individual site. He designed wide roads and spacious sites that could accommodate any size RV, and he made sure there was plenty of room for activities like horseshoes and volleyball. He also incorporated features that would appeal to kids, like a playground and a swimming pool. And because he knew how important it is to have a sense of community on the road, he made sure there were plenty of opportunities for socializing, including a game room and a fire pit.
